Then she went over to Benner's Hotel and spoke with John Kelly about life and love (a bit) and music (a lot) for another fifteen minutes or so. And then she went home. She was only in Dingle for three or four hours but even at the time we knew it had been pretty magical. And so did Anthony Wall, the Grand High Poobah at the BBC's Arena division. And he gave us the wherewithal to make this documentary about that day. And then it was shown back in the church at the Dingle Film Festival, which was special. And then it opened the East End Film Festival in London (shown in another church). And then it was released on DVD. And now it has been nominated for Best Arts Documentary in the very prestigious Grierson Awards. Brilliant. But you'd swap it all for one more encore mind...
